Acep Hale

The universe we live in is infinite as are the paths we are allowed to choose. A great tarot reading allows us to explore these possibilities as the cards reveal the weft and weave of the forces and energies at play in and around us. Combining not just an intuitive understanding of the world's wisdom traditions but also a rigorous academic pursuit of tarot history, transpersonal psychology, and shamanic studies, I value the interaction with my clients as an opportunity to explore the rich fullness of our beautiful journeys together.

As such I ask that my clients approach our readings together with the gravitas which such an event asks of both of us.

Please allocate enough time that the cards may be given the chance to speak not just to me, but also to you yourself. In my experience Tarot represents a system of gnostic symbols that unwrap themselves in the consciousness of all who behold them, resonating with our own personal mythologies and inner landscapes.

I also ask that my clients have definite questions or areas they wish to explore firmly in mind when they sit with me. It is my experience that the Tarot mirrors the attitude and states of mind with which they are approached. When approached in a serious and respectful manner they reveal messages that are breath taking in their revelations and the depth of their replies. In a similar manner when approached with an air of frivolity they answer in kind.

I use the Jodorowsky-Camoin (Marseilles), Noblet (Marseilles), Convers (Marseilles), Rider-Waite, Oswald Wirth, and Marseille Sophistique in my readings, choosing which deck is most suited to the situation at hand after first consulting with my clients since each deck has their own personal strengths and specialities. I also use a variety of spreads, drawn from my past experience of two decades of professional readings, depending on the area of exploration we have chosen. This can range everywhere from a simple three card reading through the Celtic spread up to a full deck Astrological House reading. In very special cases I may do a reading using Linda Falorios' Shadow Tarot but I reserve those readings for clients that I have a deep connection with since it is my experience such readings take a great amount of emotional honesty from both myself and my client and the truths those cards reveal may take a great effort of strength and time to integrate into one's psyche.

Just so you know more about my approach before a call, I consider the following books to be the most influential on my approach to Tarot and Tarot readings:

Alejandro Jodorowsky - Way of the Tarot: The Spiritual Teacher in the Cards, Psychomagic: The Transformative Power of Shamanic Psychotherapy, Metagenealogy: Self-Discovery through Psychomagic and the Family Tree, The Spiritual Journey of Alejandro Jodorowsky

Carl Jung - The Undiscovered Self, Man and His Symbols , Memories, Dreams, Reflections

Paul Huson - Mystical Origins of the Tarot: From Ancient Roots to Modern Usage

Valentin Thomberg - Meditations on the Tarot

Oswald Wirth - Tarot of the Magicians: The Occult Symbols of the Major Arcana that Inspired Modern Tarot

Stansilov Grof - Healing Our Deepest Wounds: The Holotropic Paradigm Shift, Spiritual Emergency: When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis, The Ultimate Journey: Consciousness and the Mystery of Death

I look forward to reading for you and starting our journey together through the beautiful and miraculous unfolding of life we all share in together.

My Background

I have served in the United States Navy in the Submarine force, worked as a carpenter, an editor, a teacher, a network security engineer, a performer, and a lecturer. Throughout it all I have studied and used our wisdom traditions to enhance and advance the lives of everyone I have had the honor and privilege to befriend along the way.

I have read Tarot professionally in New York City, Seattle's Pike Place Market, Cusco (Peru), Paris, Berlin, and a myriad of points between.
